FILM NIGHT

Saturday 4th October 2025

Littleham Film & Social Club

It was lovely to see our members return from their summer break for the September movie, and it was good to welcome some new members who joined us for the first time.

Our film choice, “The Salt Path”, became a little contentious over the summer and was received with mixed reviews by our audience on the night.  However, it was amazing to see our beautiful coastline on the big screen which became a talking point at the intermission.

Our October film is The Penguin Lessons (2024), 12A: inspired by the true story of a disillusioned Englishman who goes to work in a school in Argentina in 1976. Expecting an easy ride, Tom discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.

The comedy-drama stars Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, and received great reviews on Rotten Tomatoes with 95% audience approval.

As always, we meet at Littleham Village Hall, 6.30pm for a 7.00pm screening on Saturday 4th October.

A well-stocked bar, a glorious raffle, free tea, coffee & biscuits in the interval, £1 ice creams, tall seats on the back two rows and a warm welcome will greet you.

Come early if you like to sit in the front and benefit from the sub-titles.

Hoping to see you on Saturday 4th October,
The Film Committee and our wonderful volunteers
